How far would you travel (or have you traveled) to see your favorite performer?
Begin rant:
Ouch, this prompt hurts. How apt for Glastonbury weekend. The map shows how far away I live from the famous town of Glastonbury. To get to Glastonbury from my house, it takes about 15 minutes.
To get to Glastonbury FESTIVAL, it takes £185.
I do not have £185. My friends apparently all do. My ex boyfriend’s dad has free tickets to spare. (He did not give me one this year. He did not give me one last year… when me and Danny were together. Danny did not try to get me one. He was a shit boyfriend).
So, the answer to this prompt is, I would travel the quarter of an hour down the road to see Regina Spektor, La Roux, Lady Gaga, Lily Allen, Bloc Party, The Ting Tings, Jamie T, Little Boots, Jason Mraz, Dizzee Rascal, Franz Ferdinand, Pendulum, Maximo Park, Paolo Nutini, Eric Prydz, Deadmau5, Wiley & Tinchy Stryder… but I can’t, because I am only human, and a student at that.
ONE HUNDRED AND EIGHTY FIVE POUNDS!? FML!
I could however, manage the £60 for a Sunday ticket. So I will get to see The Prodigy and Ladyhawke. £60 for two bands, hmmm.
PLUS, apart from Tegan and Sara; Regina Spektor, La Roux and Lady Gaga are my faves.
At this moment, I want to kick Michael Eavis in his legendary shins.
